Navy Kamikaze Air Bases
The Japanese Navy used various air bases in the Philippines, Formosa, and
Japan to carry out kamikaze attacks against Allied ships from October 1944 to
August 1945. This page lists the air bases used by the Navy for kamikaze
aircraft sorties. The list is ordered based on the number of kamikaze pilots and
airmen who made sorties from each base and did not return.
This list comes from an exhibit at the Kanoya Air Base Museum. Other
sources often show slightly different numbers of Navy kamikaze deaths for
sorties from these
bases.
